Our Communities
Badenoch and Strathspey is a fantastic part of the world to live in, work in as well as visit. It sits entirely within the spectacular Cairngorms National Park and is home to 12 communities, each of which offers its own unique variety of activities, facilities and services. The smallest community in terms of resident population is Dalwhinnie, with the three largest being Aviemore, Grantown on Spey and Kingussie. All of the 12 communities however, irrespective of size, boast many hard working community volunteers who run the local groups and organisations which their community depends on for its vibrancy and future well-being.

Highland Third Sector Interface
VABS is part of the Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) funded by the Scottish Government to support Badenoch and Strathspey communities in the following four areas:
- Volunteering
- Organisational support
- Social Economy/Enterprise
- Community Engagement & Planning
