Welcome

Voluntary Action in Badenoch & Strathspey (VABS) is a local organisation whose mission is to support third sector organisations (community & voluntary groups, social enterprises) throughout Badenoch and Strathspey. VABS is part of the Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) and has offices in Grantown on Spey. It is a charitable company limited by guarantee, overseen by a Board of Directors who are drawn from various organisations operating in the local communities.
VABS provides a wide range of services offering advice, support and practical help with:

  • Volunteering
  • Fundraising
  • Recruitment and Payroll
  • Accounting and Book-keeping
  • Community Engagement
  • Community Learning and Development
  • Community Facilitation

Highland Third Sector Interface

VABS is part of the Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) funded by the Scottish Government to support Badenoch and Strathspey communities in the following four areas:

  • Organisational support
  • Social Economy/Enterprise
  • Community Engagement & Planning
